Jillian Bedell has been dancing all her life. She studied contemporary and modern at Peridance in New York. She began practicing Nia 15 years ago, and was immediately drawn to its emphasis on pleasure, health, and consciousness. She trained with Debbie and Carlos Rosas, who developed the technique, and discovered that teaching was more gratifying than dancing alone. Jillian is a writer and content creator whose book, Eating in Maine, takes readers on a road trip across her adopted state. Her work also appears in Down East Magazine, and she is a research editor and copywriter for Delicacies Jewelry. She has lived on the beach in Mexico, in a farmhouse in Cushing, and in a bungalow in the San Fernando Valley. Jillian and her daughters can be found most weekend afternoons fighting about cupcakes at Rock City, reading books in the cubby at hello hello, making art at CMCA, and building epic blanket forts in their living room.
