Weekly Practice

Open Meditation

Every Thursday, 5:30-6:30 p.m. and every Sunday, 9-10 a.m.
Open Meditation is an opportunity to practice with a group in a relaxed and friendly environment. Everyone is welcome, including beginners and experienced practitioners. All meditation traditions are honored. Each session includes twenty-five minutes of seated meditation, followed by five minutes of walking meditation, and closing with twenty-five minutes of seated meditation. Social Meditation

Every Monday through November 4, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Social Meditation is a supportive practice that guides us in developing a culture of “nowness” and a space to relate authentically with one another. In this practice, we explore what it feels like to speak and listen from our present moment experience. We practice communicating with bravery and vulnerability so that we can bring these qualities into our daily lives. The evening includes sitting practice, Social Meditation, and tea and visiting. Participants of all ages, backgrounds, and spiritual traditions are welcome. By donation: suggested $5-10. Recovery Dharma

Every Wednesday and Sunday, 6-7:30 p.m.
Recovery Dharma is a community of people who are using the practices of mindfulness, compassion, forgiveness, and generosity to heal the pain and suffering that addiction has caused in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Each meeting includes a period of meditation, readings from various Buddhist teachers, and open discussion. All are welcome regardless of religious beliefs (or non-beliefs) and no prior knowledge of meditation is required. By donation: suggested $5-10.
