Experience the forest in a whole new way! Join Kelsea and Rachel for an afternoon of movement and stillness in the natural world.
The workshop will open with a gentle hike through the fields and into the woods at Fernald’s Neck. Beneath the trees, we’ll gather in a circle for a guided meditation to set our intentions. Rachel will lead breathwork and yoga postures to warm the body and inspire our connection with the landscape— the earth, trees, rocks, water, and sky. Kelsea, a certified forest therapy guide, will offer a series of forest therapy invitations, encouraging us to slow down and experience a stronger sense of presence through the opening of our senses. The retreat will close with a silent hike back out of the woods.
Forest Therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice known as "shinrin-yoku" which translates roughly to “forest bathing.” The practice offers a deepening of our intimacy with the land, all while receiving the scientifically proven physical and emotional healing benefits that the outdoors offers.
