Dharma Talk: Tales & Teachings from Gampo Abbey

with Rachel Nixon
Thursday, November 7, 6-8 p.m.
*Note: This is the opening talk for the Fall Weekthun!
We are delighted to continue our Dharma Talk series on the first Thursday of the month. The evening includes meditation, a talk, discussion, and time for visiting. Tea and snacks will be served.
What happens when you sit in mediation for six hours a day for six weeks in a row on the edge of cliff? Join Rachel Nixon for joyful stories and honest tales from last year's Winter Yarne Retreat with Ani Pema Chödrön and the monastic community at Gampo Abbey in northern Nova Scotia. Rachel will invite discussion about the Paramitas -- generosity, discipline, patience, exertion, meditation, and wisdom -- which were studied in depth at the Abbey and will be explored at the Fall Weekthun. This dharma talk is the opening talk for the Fall Weekthun.
Everyone is welcome.
Suggested donation: $15-20
