The Dancing Elephant invites you to our relaxed and friendly community practice spaces, in downtown Rockland, Maine and online via Zoom. Come as you are. The teachings of yoga, meditation, and art are here to support and nourish you. We welcome you into the sacred space of compassionate self-acceptance and embodied awareness. We invite you to slow down, breathe, and simply be. The Dancing Elephant is committed to making our programs accessible to everyone. All ages, sizes, shapes, and abilities are welcome. All offerings are by donation.
- The Dancing Elephant is located in downtown Rockland, Maine, which was settled on the traditional territory of the Penobscot Nation, part of the Wabanaki Confederacy. We honor the Penobscot people who have stewarded these lands and waterways for thousands of years, and we affirm their inherent sovereignty in this region.
- We honor the ancient roots of yoga and meditation. We bow to the culture and traditions of India and to all South Asian teachers, past and present, who have created and nurtured these spiritual teachings that we practice today.
